What is the quickest and easiest way to get more business reviews on Google? Provide your customers with a direct link and encourage them to write a review and rate your business.

To create a link, you’ll need to get the Place ID for your business. To get your Place ID:

  1. Go to the PlaceID Lookup Tool.
  2. Enter your business name in the “Enter a location” field at the top of the map.
  3. Click your business name in the list that appears. **If your business does not appear, you’ll need to set-up your Google My Business account first.
  4. Your Place ID will appear on the map, beneath your business name.

Make it easier for your users to leave a review by shortening the URL. Simply visit and enter your URL with the Place ID as shown below:

You can now include this link in print materials, emails and social media posts.

Keep in mind that it’s against the Google My Business review policy to solicit reviews from customers by offering incentives or setting up review stations at your place of business. Reviews that violate the policy may be removed.
